Organization Licenses

Hospital licenses are sold on an organization-wide basis and include a specified number of learner seats.

Seat limits are determined by the purchased license tier.

Eligible Users

Only employees, contractors, interns, residents, and students affiliated with the licensed organization may use assigned seats.

License Tier Selection and Verification

Organizations are responsible for selecting the license tier that accurately reflects the number of veterinarians employed by the organization at the time of purchase.

For the purposes of license tier determination, veterinarian counts include all full-time and part-time veterinarians employed by the organization, regardless of specialty, clinical focus, or level of participation in the training program.

By purchasing a license, the purchaser represents and warrants that the selected license tier accurately reflects the size of the organization.

Thomson Veterinary Education reserves the right to request reasonable information necessary to verify eligibility for a selected license tier, including confirmation of veterinarian staffing levels.

If Thomson Veterinary Education determines that an organization has purchased a license tier that does not accurately reflect its size, Thomson Veterinary Education reserves the right to:

  • Require payment of the difference between the purchased license tier and the appropriate license tier;
  • Restrict access to course content until the licensing discrepancy is resolved;
  • Decline renewal of the license; or
  • Terminate access in cases of material or intentional misrepresentation.

Organizations experiencing growth that results in exceeding the veterinarian limits of their purchased tier are expected to notify Thomson Veterinary Education within a reasonable period and may be required to upgrade to the appropriate tier upon renewal.

Seat Management

Organization administrators may assign and reassign seats as needed within their organization.

Each learner must have their own individual account.

Shared learner accounts are prohibited.

License Transfers

Licenses may not be transferred, sold, or assigned to another organization without written approval from Thomson Veterinary Education.

License Term

Licenses remain active for the purchased term:

  • One-year licenses expire after twelve months
  • Two-year licenses expire after twenty-four months
  • Three-year licenses expire after thirty-six months

Renewals

Organizations may renew licenses before expiration to maintain uninterrupted access.

Expiration

Upon expiration:

  • Learners may lose access to course materials
  • Organization reporting tools may become unavailable
  • Certificates previously issued remain valid

Refund Policy

Because immediate access to digital educational content is provided upon purchase, refunds are generally not available once access has been granted.

Requests related to billing errors or exceptional circumstances will be reviewed individually.

Enterprise Licensing

Custom licensing arrangements may be available for large organizations, veterinary schools, and multi-hospital groups.
